His unassuming generosity and kindness made him a much-loved, long-time resident of West Caldwell, NJ. Hyman was an active member of Temple Agudath Israel for over 50 years and attended Sabbath services without fail. Hyman made many life-long friends at the Temple, in his neighborhood and in the wider community from California to Israel.
He enjoyed many sports, especially tennis and swimming, and travelled widely. He was an active member of the Caldwell Community Fitness Center. Hyman was incredibly handy and fixed everything at his house as well as those of many friends and neighbors. He did electrical work, auto repair, plumbing, and also enjoyed making furniture and stained glass windows.
Hyman was the definition of a righteous man, a true mensch.
