Sorry for your loss. Did you know that the dead can live again? Acts 24:15 promises that "There is going to be a resurrection"  Those who are brought back to life on earth will have the prospect of living forever. 
John 5: 28, 29 says Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice (Jesus) and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. Hope these scriptures bring you comfort!
