Max Spinrad of West Orange passed away at the age of 83 on Thursday, December 29th at home with his loving wife by his side. Max was born and raised in Newark, NJ and graduated from Westside High School, Rutgers New Brunswick and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Mr. Spinrad began his career in Governor Hughes administration as an Assistant Attorney General and went on to private practice as partner in Miele, Cooper and Spinrad and later with the firm of Bendit Weinstock.
He was a former Past President of B’nai Shalom in West Orange.
Max loved spending time with his family and especially his adored grandchildren. He was predeceasded by his parents Joseph and Dora Spinrad, and his sister Elaine Hochheiser. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Myrna Spinrad, his son Larry and his wife Cindy, and his four grandchildren Rachel, David, Jaclyn and Jason.
A funeral service will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 at 11:00am at the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ. Burial will follow at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton, NJ.
