Phyllis Miller, a vibrant, stylish, and deeply loving woman, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, in Palm Beach, Florida, at the age of 96. Born in Brooklyn to Max and Blanche Kay, Phyllis was married to Al Miller until his passing in 1995 and was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Joan and Sandra. She bore the heartbreaking loss of Sandy in 2019 with grace and resilience.
Phyllis was a fashionista with a heart of gold—an influencer before the word existed. Always impeccably dressed, she had a natural flair for elegance and a warm, magnetic personality. She loved socializing, cherished her friends and their families, and rarely turned down a game of backgammon. She was deeply committed to justice and community, actively supporting the New York chapter of the Anti-Defamation League. Phyllis found her greatest joy in her family. She adored her daughter Joan and son-in-law Elon, her grandchildren Gavriel (married to Rebecca) and Raphael (married to Lauren), and her great-grandchildren Alexandra, Michaela, Isaac, August, and India. Her love for her family was fierce, unconditional, and lifelong.
Phyllis leaves behind a legacy of grace, generosity, and joyful connection. Her memory lives on in the laughter, stories, and love she shared with everyone lucky enough to know her.
Graveside services for Phyllis will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 11am at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Dr., Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
