I worked with Rachel at New York Life for six years before I left in 1992.  We conducted many workshops together as Human Resources Training professionals. 
I remember Rachel as a hard worker, loyal friend, and a professional trainer.  She was so good about staying in touch and keeping me up to date with family milestones. She was a giving person; I will miss her.  My condolences to her family.

Rachel was a dear friend to me even though I spent only 4 days with her. I originally met her through the Maud-L (list-serv for Betsy-Tacy friends) and got to know her as an "invisible friend". I then had the pleasure of meeting her in person, spending time with her, and actually getting to know her at the 2009 Betsy-Tacy Convention. I met Emma and Jessica at that same time. Rachel and her girls and I sat together at lunch at Murmuring Lake and I cherish the memory of our conversations. 

After the Convention Rachel and I corresponded on a fairly regular basis. I already miss those emails. She was such a vibrant woman and she loved her family and life. I once told her I hoped I was as active and alive at my age as she was at hers - some 15 years my senior.

My sincere condolences to all of her family. She was a special person and she will be missed by many, myself included.

Sending much love to the family. Rachel was my dad's first cousin. The two of them were devoutly committed to keeping connections strong among the extended family. After Ellis passed, Rachel was our glue. She was so lovely, devoted, strong, loyal and consistent. She will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.

My sincere condolences to Rachel's family.  My friendship with Rachel dated back to the mid 1950s when we attended Cejwin Camps as CITs and waitresses and then attended SZO Machon Kayits in Israel. We remained close friends for decades.  I will miss her creativity, intelligence and compassion.  Her commitment to her granddaughters Jessica and Emma was an inspiration.

May her memory be for a blessing.

Rachel was the only link that we had to my Dad's side of the family. They were first cousins. I grew up in Colorado, and have never really known any of the many cousins I have from the East coast. We enjoyed corresponding with her, and visiting with her, when she brought the girls to Denver several years ago. Our  condolences to the family.

Remember your grandmother for all the wonderful things she did for you and the rest of her family.  I will never forget how she advocated for you both and wanted what was best for you.  She was a tough woman and I admired her strength.  She loved you very much and it showed.  She will continue to watch over you.

Rachel was an important part of our Greater New York Chapter of the Betsy-Tacy Society.  She was an active member of our book discussions and I got to know her through her participation.  We shared so many interests besides Betsy-Tacy.  I will miss her lovely and gallant spirit.

Rachel was a wonderful, warm, and caring woman who handled life's challenges with grade and good humor. I feel so lucky to have known her for many years at the New York Betsy-Tacy book discussion group. She will leave a vacant spot there that can't be filled. 

I know how much Rachel loved her family; she spoke so warmly of each and every one of you. I hope that the good memories you have of her will help overcome the sadness you feel now.

I shared lovely hours with Rachel at meetings of the Greater New York Chapter of the Betsy-Tacy Society. I will miss her intelligence, her stories, and her charming company. I wish her family peace and love.

I knew Rachel from our emails exchanged because of the Betsy-Tacy books. She was more real to me than many people I have actually met in life and always a joy and an inspiration. I send my prayers and sincere wishes for comfort and strength to all her family.

Rachel and I are Betsy-Tacy friends. She called me her Grandma Jennie Davis, and I was so honored to be her honorary grandma. What a vibrant life force she was! Impossible to believe that valiant little heart of hers could ever stop beating. She leaves a huge hole in the world. I will miss her.
