He was born on October 11, 1934 in Newark, NJ.
Salvatore had a passion for his work in commercial construction and was brilliantly creative in everything he put his hands on. He was also involved in building the Twin Towers.
He loved horses and spending time with his friends at the Racetrack. He also loved watching sports such as football and baseball, especially his favorite teams, the Red Sox and San Francisco 49ers.
Salvatore was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his generous heart. People of all ages would gravitate to him because of his humorous personality.
He loved all his children so very much that his face would light up the second any one of them would walk into the room.
Salvatore was preceded in death by his mother Dolly Fischetta, his wife Joan Fischetta, and daughter Donna Fischetta.
He is survived by his 6 children, Debra Paradiso, Kim Casella, Sal Fischetta, Jr., Patricia Fischetta, Julianne Fischetta and Michael Fischetta; son-in-laws Arthur Paradiso and Rich Casella; a daughter-in-law Lisa Fischetta; 6 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and his former and second wife Frances Triston.
A private Memorial Service is being held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
