Dear Altman family, Its been a while since Shannon passed. i just wanted to say i'm sorry for what you are going through and i just wanna say that i was dealing with simalar things as her and i could relate to her problems but the amount of time i spent with her were amazing she was bright, very sweet, loving, caring, gorgeous, funny and very helpful she always brought out the light in me and was helping any one she came across. i remember a time she made me laugh it was the when we got are nails done together on rt 10 she knows i only where black cause i'm goth and she told you're only allowed to get any color besides black so i told her pick it for me and of course knowing her bright personality she picked a neon green so now when i wear neon green it is to remind me that Shannon is with me in my heart and in spirit and also to keep helping others and love everyone around me. even though i never really got to talk to you at all i just want to say i'm sorry for what happend to Shannon i loved her dearly she made a good impact on my life as well as yours remember she always loved you and keep following her foot steps by helping others i hope the best for you all i hope to see you around livingston if you see me please definitely say hi and introduce yourself to me take care and god bless-      yours truly,

We remember Shannon as.... a beautiful baby in the stroller when we met for a day out in Cranford.....an adorable toddler after Sasha was born and we were pregnant seeking baby advice....a joyful child sitting at the piano or kicking a ball around outside....a young teen with stunning eyes flying into the house just home from an NCSY weekend away....a gorgeous, composed young woman at Sasha's bat mitzvah. All these memories and facets of Shannon we will treasure. She left this world much so soon but she made an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to know her. My daughter, Catherine was friends with Shannon at GenPsych and she and other friends from the program were distraught to hear this sad news.  I drove with 7 of them to the service and wanted to let you know that they spoke highly of her and shared many fond memories.  As a Mom, I wish there were someway I could help you in an unspeakable journey to heal.  I can be an outside ear to listen if you ever need one.  My thoughts and deepest sympathies are with you. You don't know me but I was close friends with Shannon from school. I'm so sorry for your loss, this is one of the many things someone should never have to go through. Shannon was bright, beautiful, and intelligent. Cornerstone will never be the same without her sassy, funny attitude which we all loved. She had such an effect on everyone she meet, a person once told me "There are some people who come into your life and change it for the good, and even if they leave, you will never forget them." I believe she was one of those people. Not one person from school disliked her. I will forever miss her calling me a cute cucumber because of my skin.
