On May 11, 1957, at St. Gregory Parish in Detroit, Michigan Barbara married the love of her life Stanley F. Stanecki. They shared over 43 years of marriage before his passing in 2000. Barbara dedicated her life to raising her four cherished sons, Michael (Sharon), Thomas, Paul (Heide) and James (Bonnie). She was the loving grandmother of Catherine, Joseph, Bridget, Paige, Payton, Maxwell and Corrin.
Barbara's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at 10:30 at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd. (north of Six Mile Rd) in Livonia. She will lie in state at the church beginning at 10 am on Wednesday.
