

Beryl Eileen Brown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 89. Beryl was born on February 26, 1935, in London, England, to loving parents, and lived a life full of warmth, love, and creativity.
Beryl’s life changed forever when she met Robert Brown, a U.S. Navy serviceman stationed in London. They married on April 17, 1954, and soon after, moved to the United States to start their life together. Their marriage, which spanned over six decades, was a testament to their love and dedication to each other. Together, they built a family and created a life full of cherished memories.
Beryl was the loving mother to three children: Dorrie (Geoff Kinde) Milan, Douglas (April Bown) Brown, and Julie (David) Ciuk. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Emily (Sean), Benjamin, Evan, Cassie (Troy), Jacob, and Alex. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them, whether it was on family vacations to Cape Cod and the Outer Banks or visiting her relatives back in London.
Beryl had many talents and passions. She was an exceptional seamstress, known for her skill and attention to detail. She sewed her daughters’ clothing, including Dorrie’s wedding gown, a labor of love that reflected her care and dedication. In her free time, Beryl enjoyed reading, always with a good book in hand, and finding joy in the quiet moments spent working on her sewing projects.
Beryl was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorrie Smietanko and Muriel Macaulay. Her legacy of love, creativity, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In accordance with Beryl’s wishes, cremation will take place. No public services have been scheduled at this time.
