Beverley Jean Joyce, born March 24, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert and Bessie Joyce, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, in Bingham Farms, Michigan. She was 93 years old.
Beverley lived a life marked by quiet dedication, deep faith, and generous service to others. She began her working life as a receptionist in a doctor’s office, a role that reflected her warm demeanor and strong sense of responsibility. She later went on to work as a clerical employee at Ford Motor Company at the Telegraph Road location, where she built a long and steady career and eventually retired on July 1, 1990.
Her Baptist faith was a guiding force throughout her life. In the 1950s, Beverley was a devoted member of Coronado Baptist Church in Detroit, where she remained active for many years. Most recently, she was a member of Crosspointe Meadows Baptist Church in Novi. Well into her 80s, Beverley continued to live out her faith through service—visiting the homes of church members who could not get around and baking them banana bread.
Beverley’s greatest passion was flower gardening. She lovingly maintained English-style gardens at her home in Detroit and later at her home in Livonia. Her gardens were a reflection of her patience, care, and appreciation for beauty, bringing joy to all who had the privilege of seeing them.
A Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Beverley’s loved ones will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm. A private burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Livonia.
