Brian R. Zelinski

Brian R. Zelinski passed away on September 27, 2014. He was 51 years old. Brian was the beloved husband of Susan for 25 years. Loving father of Anthony, Mary, and the late Tommy. Devoted brother of Michael (Sally) Zelinski, Barbara Zelinski, and Susan Zelinski. Son of the late Richard and Doris. Dearest brother-in-law of Greg Shannahan, Tim (Laura) Shannahan, Karen (Jay) Cummings, and Kevin (Beth) Shannahan. Son-in-law of Maureen and the late Norbert Shannahan, and cherished uncle of Jenny, Katie, Angela, Kyle, Andrew, Sarah, and Brett.

Brian was a beloved baseball coach for 15 years with the Garden City Youth Athletic Association. As a crew leader, Brian spent 20 years working for the Department of Public Services in Westland. An avid sports fan, Brian loved to follow and cheer for his favorite teams.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 8pm and Thursday from 1 to 9pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. in Livonia. Rosary at 7pm on Thursday. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 3, 2014, at 10:30am at St. Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Rd. in Livonia. Friends may visit the church beginning at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Families of SMA, 925 Busse Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL, 60007, are appreciated.
