Carol Susan Bird, age 87, of Livonia, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Loving mother of Susan, David (Lillia), and Stephen. Cherished grandmother of Austin and Jackson. Preceded in death by parents Merl & Susan Drake; and brothers Robert "Bob" & Alan.
Loved her career as a teacher and as a lifelong musician, being an accomplished pianist & organist. Her favorite colors were maize and blue, as is required of all University of Michigan alumni. GO BLUE! Even though all three of her children graduated from Michigan State University, (Michigan-Michigan State games were always interesting), she took great pride in having raised three successful and accomplished adults as a single parent.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 9am until the Funeral Service that will begin at 11am at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, Livonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to University of Michigan Music School, Christ Our Savior Music Ministry, or Angela Hospice.
