Caroline K. Kaegi
Caroline was born in Hartford Connecticut on January 23rd 1916 to Joseph and Theresa Sablacan. She was the youngest daughter of three children. She passed away on December 5 at the age of 102.
Beloved wife of the late Armin Kaegi for 45 years until he passed away in 1986. Loving mother of Norma Jean Duran (Kathy Biela) and Marlene Denise (Joseph) Clough. Dear grandmother of Philip Duran. Dear Aunt to Christine (Mike) Masterson, Elaine (Gary) Cockfield, Nancy (Joe) Masterson and Mark (Patti) Sablacan. Dear Aunt of Leila Blickensdorfer and Elsbeth Vetri of Switzerland.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Frederick W. (Lois) Sabur and Joseph B. (Betty) Sablacan and nephew Frederick H. Sabur.
Caroline was a longtime active member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Livonia Michigan. She volunteered in many church and community organizations.
A special thanks to everyone at Arden Court of Livonia, especially her caregivers Bobbie, Calandra, Shavone, Minnie and Carolyn and her nurses Leslie and Sheryl. Also a special thanks to Heartland Hospice especially Lauren and Joann.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road Livonia Michigan on Monday, December 10, from 4 – 8 PM. The funeral service will be December 11 at 11am at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 14175 Farmington Road, Livonia Michigan. Prior to the service, final viewing will begin at 10AM at the church. Caroline will be laid to rest at a later date next to her husband at Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit Michigan.
