Cheryl Maureen Thomas

Cheryl was the beloved wife of the late Bruce Thomas, with whom she shared over 38 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and cherished traditions. She was a devoted and loving mom to Brian (Rebecca) Thomas, Erik Thomas, Jeffrey (Rachel) Thomas, and Michael (Danielle) Thomas. Nothing brought Cheryl more joy than being a proud grandma to Lucy Thomas, Chloe Thomas, Bruce Thomas, Abby (Owen) Farmer, Morgan Thomas, Bristol Thomas, Isla Thomas, and Lena Thomas. She treasured each of them deeply and delighted in every moment spent together. Cheryl was also a dear sister to Timothy (Cathie) Kerr and Wendy Dore.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bruce; her parents, Kenneth and Lena Kerr; and her brother-in-law, Michael Dore.

Cheryl had a special love for family time. She especially enjoyed attending her sons’ club and college soccer matches, faithfully cheering them on from the sidelines. She and Bruce also looked forward each year to their annual vacations to Longboat Key, Florida. These trips were filled with sunshine, laughter, and sweet memories that she carried with her always.

A funeral visitation will be held at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, 48152, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with the funeral service to follow from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.

The Restoring Valor Foundation is a 501C-3 tax exempt entity dedicated to providing financial assistance to military veterans and their families who have suffered a catastrophic loss to their property such as a fire, flood or storm. The foundation was inspired by Cheryl’s husband Bruce and his military service in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Cheryl will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
