Christopher Noel Herbert Oginski of Dexter, Michigan, was born December 25, 1962 in Dearborn, Michigan to Donald and the late Shirley Oginski. He was one of 8 children. Christopher passed away peacefully in Ann Arbor, Michigan on May 19, 2020 at the age of 57.

Chris was the beloved husband and best friend of the late Patricia for 27 years until she passed in August of 2019. Together they raised two boys, Adam (Crystal Poertner) Goldberg, and Noah (Katie) Goldberg. Grandpa of Emily, Matthew, and Beau.

Chris was dedicated to his work. He was a Plant Manager in the automotive industry for most of his career life and he was currently working at Novares (formerly Key Plastics). Chris was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved animals, especially his many, many dogs. He also had a love of his "outdoor pets". There was a few cranes and a dozen deer that would visit Chris daily to get treats. One deer in particular was special and Chris gave him the name "Buckey". Chris enjoyed music and had a wide variety of genres' in his collection; everything from the Bloodhound Gang, Beastie Boyz, and Notorious B.I.G. However, his passion was his family. The word "step" was not in his vocabulary...only family. He simply loved being a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by many.

The family will receive guests for a visitation on Friday, May 22, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. The visitation will conclude with a funeral service at 5:00 PM led by Reverend Mark Raitz.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Christopher's memory may be made to Knights of Columbus at your local parish council.

I was shocked and deeply disappointed when hearing about Chris’ passing. He and I spoke what seemed to be no more then a month ago with numerous text messages in between. When you go through life you meet lots and lots of people. Most you forget about, some you want to forget about and a very few individuals you want to keep in your life. Chris was a definite keeper. He and I went through some very tough and challenging times together professionally and he was always someone I could count on. Even while going through brutal situations he always kept the same professional demeanor and sense of humor. I will miss him dearly.

Chris, and Chris family
I really feel sorry what happened.
Last time when I met you it was a few years ago when you invited me and Kamil Baranski to Greek festival in 2016. It was my pleasure to work with you for entire time when you were for Martinrea Bishop Circle, I called you my Polish body.
To Chris family:
Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.

I had the privilege and the honor of reporting to and working with Chris, as his Quality Manager, at SMP, in Sturgis, Michigan.

Chris, had a drive and desire to do the best he could each and every day. He knew each of his employees by name and cared deeply for everyone. He was a true inspiration and will be missed by all.

I am sure that Chris, is in a better place and that he is looking down on each and every one of us.

Chris was the nicest boss that I have ever had the pleasure of working for. He was greatly missed by many when he left his previous job. So sad that he passed so young. Deepest condolences to the family.

I am deeply saddened at Chris's passing. He was always supportive and sought to help others whenever he could. He called me only a few weeks ago to check on me because I had lost my husband, and he was concerned about me. He had such a big heart. My sympathies go to Adam and Noah, and the rest of his family. May God wrap his arms around you and give you comfort. RIP Chris.

I also worked with Chris at Martinrea in Manchester Michigan. Of all the GMs we've had, he was my absolute favorite. He was the only GM that would greet me by name and asked me how my day was going. I will truly miss him. RIP Chris O.
