Dawn Michelle Gooding was born April 16, 1966 in Flint, Michigan to Dennis DeLisle and Sharon Johnson. She was the oldest of two children. Dawn passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the age of 57. She was under the gentle care of Angela Hospice in Livonia, Michigan.
Dawn was the beloved mother of Megan (Michael) Marek. Loving daughter of Dennis (Sherry) DeLisle, and Sharon Johnson. Dearest sister of David DeLisle. Aunt of Sierra Neal.
Dawn graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1984 and Eastern Michigan University in 1989. She had a successful 30 year career as a Social Worker and Director of several nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She started her career at Riverbend of Grand Blanc and ended her career at Brookdale in Troy.
Dawn was a loving mother and a kind and caring individual that never met a person she didn't care for. She always showed compassion and love for all who came into her path and shared her love of God with family and friends. She made everyone around her feel joy and the love of life and God.
Her beautiful interpretation of life and caring will always be remembered by those who loved her and were blessed to share time with her.
Dawns family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 4:30pm until 8:00pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152 (Just east of Newburgh and I-275)
Her life will be celebrated with an 11:00am service at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
Dawn will be laid to rest by her family in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
