Emil was born in Malta on August 22, 1935. He came to America at the age of 7 with his Mother Mary, Father Emil Sr. and sisters Agnus and Nancy. His brother Eddie was born later in America. He grew up in Detroit. Where he met and married Valerie and they were married for 67 years. Emil and Valerie have two sons, Gary and John and two grandchildren, Amanda and Thomas. Shortly after their marriage he served in the U.S. Army. Emil was proud to be a Vet. After the Army they moved back to Detroit and he became an apprentice to learn the printing trade. Emil worked for the Detroit News for 43 years. Emil treasured his family and family life.
Emil had a nice retirement. He and his wife Valerie traveled to Malta and London and took many driving trips to the South and Southwest U.S. They both loved Las Vegas and spent a lot of time there.
When Emil was at the end of his life, he never complained or said why is this happening to me. Emil's faith sustained him and he put his trust in God.
Emil had a good life and died peacefully knowing he was loved by his family and friends.
