Ernie Randall Mann

He is survived by his high school sweetheart Karen, sons Kenny and Gary (Justine) and daughter Vicki Bassett (Shawn). Ernie was the proud “Papa” of Shelby, Brianna, Joshua, Cody, Kyle, Jonathan and Michael and a loyal fan at all their events. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Lena Mann and adored by his sister Patricia Clark (Lee) currently of Aurora, Kentucky.

Ernie was a friend to anyone he ever met and a mechanic to anyone who ever needed one. Ernie was born in Creelsboro Kentucky on June 29, 1941 and moved to Detroit in 1956. A proud Cody Comet he loved attending their reunions and driving by the old neighborhood. An avid car enthusiast some of Ernie’s favorite times were reminiscing about the “old days” and talking about cars. Ernie will be greatly missed by his family, extended family and his vast number of “buddies.”

Ernie's family will receive friends on Monday August 19, 2013 from 3-9 pm and on Tuesday August 20, 2013 from 9 am until the time of his Funeral Service 10 am at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275 in Livonia). He will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.
