

Gail Boal, 71, of Marquette, Michigan, formerly of Redford, Michigan passed away Saturday evening, December 22, 2012 in the hospice suite at Marquette General Hospital surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Lake Superior Hospice.
Gail was born September 15, 1941 in Detroit to the late Tony and Betty (Scherrer) Patrick. While residing in Marquette, Gail volunteered extensively for the Marquette General Foundation, the Upper Peninsula Diabetes Outreach Network and the Marquette General Volunteer Program.
Gail loved to travel with her late husband, Robert, as well as with other family and friends especially to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed playing card games and Dominos with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Michael (Kathy) Boal, Lori (Kevin) Piggott and Greg (Carole Anne) Boal; a daughter-in-law, Carole Boal seven grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie, Thomas, Leah, Michael, Nicolas, and Jayson; one great grandchild, Michaela; two brothers, Mark (Pam) Patrick and Doug (Pat) Patrick; two nieces, Lisa (Adam) Nielsen and Jeanette (Marcus) Green; also a nephew, Ted (Peggy) Haubert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Boal on April 5, 2009 and a son, Ronald Boal on October 21, 2012.
A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road (just east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia, Michigan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Ben Morris of Holy Cross Lutheran Church presiding.
