Garrett was preceded in death by his Grammie, Cindy Barlow and his dog Bear.
Garrett is survived by his loving parents Beth (Barlow) and Gary (Scooter) Newton. His grandparents Sheryll & Gary (Jeep) Newton and Bob Barlow. His Uncle Andy and Aunt Katie (Barlow) Wright, and Uncle Dan Newton.
Garrett was a Summa Cum Lude graduate of Stevenson High School in 2021 and received an academic scholarship to Wayne State. Garrett was in his junior year studying Criminal Justice and Pre-Law and had earned Dean’s honor’s since his freshman year. Garrett proudly worked part time at UPS. Garrett was an avid on-line gamer, he enjoyed cooking, traveling the world, riding jet skis and hanging out with his family and dog.
A visitation for Garrett will be held Monday, December 12, 2022, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, followed by a funeral service at 4:30 PM.
PLEASE in lieu of flowers, we ask you bring a toy or donate a toy to the St Joseph's (Ypsilanti, MI) Pediatric Ward in Garrett's memory.
