Gary Steven Snow, born January 25th, 1952, from Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Beloved son of Beverly R. and Raymond A. Snow. Loving father to Dawn Katherine Snow and grandfather to Taylor Michelle Snow. Brother to Mark R. Snow, Lynn Snow-Plant (Richard), Christine M. LaCombe (Joe) and Sharon L. Holliday (Doug). Loving Uncle to Victoria R. Holliday.

Gary passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 30th, 2020 at the age of 68. He attended Our Lady of Grace Elementary School and graduated from Fordson High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Cindy Kindred. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, first stationed at Oscoda, Michigan, then Fairbanks, Alaska (where his daughter Dawn was born). Gary's love was racing, going to the drag strip and working on and racing his cars. He also loved fishing and going for long drives to the country. Gary also loved playing his favorite daily Lotto numbers. He worked for and retired from General Motors Corp. and later worked for HNS, delivering medical supplies to patients at home. Gary attended church at St. Valentine in Redford and liked being involved with his faith. He was a devout son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle. He loved his family very much and treasured his many close relationships with lifelong friends and their families.

Gary was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed. May God hold him in His blessed arms, and may he rest in peace.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at the online guestbook for the Snow family.

I have a lot of memories of Gary since I met Sharon in 1994. Gary was always Sharon's big brother and protector. I was thoroughly vetted by the family and especially by Gary (LOL). He was one of the few people in my life that I let call me "Dougie".
About 20 years ago he took me to one of his favorite places, the drag strip in Norwalk, Ohio. It was a blast, since I had never seen a real drag race (I had been to numerous NASCAR and Indy car races). I thought NASCAR was loud, no way, these were the loudest cars I had ever heard - so loud that it hurt. 300 mph in the 1/4 mile - WOW! We saw some great racing, even a jet engine car. There were some frightening wrecks that day.
Gary was often an elusive guy, at big family gatherings, he was often in and out like a ghost. Just the way he was. We always loved seeing him at our Parish Lenten fish fries, he would always call and ask how we did the next day. Gary was a very gentle guy who cared deeply about everyone, but didn't wear this on his shirt sleeve. He had a very close relationship with our daughter, Tori, and that was fun to see.
We will all miss him very much, his departure has left a hole in all of our lives.
God speed my brother!

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Gary's family and friends.

We met Gary through his ministry at St. Valentine Church in Redford where he volunteered at the Religious Education program as a hall monitor. Gary would always have a warm greeting and a smile each night of classes. We will miss seeing him both at Religious Education and as well at mass on Sundays.

May the perpetual light shine upon Gary, and may he rest in peace.
