

Wilbur Harold King, affectionately known as Harold, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 31, 1941, in Arlington, Kentucky, Harold lived a full and meaningful life marked by love, dedication, and joy.
He was the beloved husband of the late Betty King, with whom he shared many wonderful years. A devoted father, he is survived by his sons Michael (Kimberly) and Brian, and was a cherished Papa to Melissa, Brendan, Amanda, and Caitlin. Harold's love for his grandchildren was boundless, and his nightly phone calls with his eldest granddaughter, Melissa, were a treasured tradition.
Harold was preceded in death by his siblings Jean Grief, Dorothy Ables, Donald King, Gary King, and Edward King. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Harold dedicated over 40 years of service to General Motors before retiring. He was a proud and active member of the Starcraft Camping Club, where he created lasting memories traveling across the United States with his family. A loyal Detroit Tigers fan, Harold rarely missed a game and always made time for his favorite show, Wheel of Fortune.
Above all, Harold loved his family deeply and was happiest when surrounded by them.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a service beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home. Harold will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Cemetery.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
