Judith Anne Ray, 68, of Livonia, passed away at home on Thursday, July 2, 2020. Judy was born on November 6, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to Richard J. and Barbara J. (nee: Bader) Nihill, the second of their three children. After graduation from Groves High School, Judy continued her education at Eastern Michigan University receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Children's Literature and teaching. As an educator, Judy enhanced the lives of children in the Plymouth Canton District for 37 years. Away from the classroom Judy enjoyed camping, reading, and being with her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Jamie Lynne Henderson (Ray); grandchildren, Emmelyne and Gracen; and partner, Garnet Mckeon.
Private cremation services have been completed. A burial of Judy’s cremated remains will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, the scheduling of which has not yet been completed.
