Martin Joseph Synowiec

Marty was the beloved son of the Frederick Synowiec (deceased) and Eileen Synowiec. He was a devoted brother to Mary Kate, Rich, Susan, Rob, Jenny, Amy, and Jon, and a cherished uncle to Mark and Lauren, Andrew and Grant, Catherine, Christopher and Josh, Amanda, Carolyn, Ian, Cassidy, and Kaylee. He was also a proud godfather to Amelia and Josh.

Marty dedicated more than 40 years of service to Michigan Bell, Ameritech, SBC and AT&T, where he spent much of his career supporting the company’s outside network. He was respected for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and commitment to those he worked alongside throughout the years.

Outside of work, Marty found enjoyment in time spent with family, especially gatherings at his parents’ home. He had a lifelong appreciation for vintage cars and enjoyed traveling throughout northern Michigan, where he created many treasured memories.

Marty will be remembered for his quiet strength, an appreciation for mischievous humor and wit, devotion to family, and the steady presence he brought to those who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Marty’s family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Memory Sharing Service at 7:00 pm, and again at Church on Thursday from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass at 10:00 am. A burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Solanus Casey Center in Detroit.
