Michael grew up in Missouri and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Central Methodist University. After college, he moved to Minnesota and later to Michigan, where he made his home for many years.
Michael worked for CBRE for much of his professional career, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he found true joy in his lifelong passion for Mustangs. He was a proud member of the Mustang Owners Club of Southeast Michigan and spent countless weekends traveling with his car club friends to car shows across the United States. His love for cars, especially Mustangs, was matched only by the friendships he built along the way.
Michael is survived by his beloved son, Stephen; his sisters, Ann (Kurt) Mandernach and Nancy (Mickey) Montero; and his five nieces and nephews, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Betty Patterson, and his wife, Ann.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
