Beloved wife of 60 years, to the late Joseph William Ammon, Jr. Loving mother of Katherine (Max) Baisel and Joseph Craig (Colleen) Ammon. Cherished grandmother of Max Tyler (Jessica), Joseph (Laura), Jacob, Andrew (Jenna), Kaitlyn (Brennan), Joshua and Elizabeth; and great-grandmother of Holly Pat, Teddy and Hazel. Dearest sister of Susan (Richard) Busch and the late Elizabeth (Jean) Patterson, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Pat will be remembered for her creativity and kindness. She was a dear friend to many. She was a very talented seamstress, quilter and knitter; even spinning her own wool into yarn. She was well known for the beautiful quilts and sweaters she made for her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was a well-loved kindergarten teacher, who started an all-day kindergarten program in her school building many years before all day kindergarten was the trend. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Dearborn, Michigan. In her retirement, she and her husband were both volunteers at The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.
Pat and her husband Joe are now reunited in Heaven.
Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM, Patricia will be laid to rest with her husband in Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park, Livonia, Michigan. Their lives will be celebrated with a graveside committal led by Reverend Andrew Chavanak. Military funeral honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Funeral Honors Team for the service Joseph proudly provided to our country.
Serving as pallbearers are the grandchildren: Joseph Ammon, Jacob Baisel, Andrew Ammon, Brennan Thorn, Kaitlyn Thorn, Joshua Ammon and Elizabeth Ammon.
