Patricia Mary Nagy

Patricia Mary Nagy, age 88, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, in St. Clair Shores. Born on March 13, 1937, in Detroit, Patricia was the daughter of the late Walter and Victoria Mordenski.

Patricia built a life grounded in family, faith, and simple joys. She met the love of her life, George Nagy, through mutual friends while bowling—a pastime that sparked a partnership lasting more than five decades. Patricia and George were married on September 13, 1969, and shared a warm, devoted marriage until George’s passing on November 26, 2022.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Patricia spent many years employed as a secretary at the TACOM Tank Plant in Warren, Michigan, where her reliability, kindness, and steady presence were valued by all who worked with her. After her retirement, she continued to pour her energy into the people and activities she loved. A longtime parishioner of St. Colette Catholic Church, Patricia found comfort and community in her faith.

Patricia's life was enriched by her many interests and the joy she found in sharing them with her family. She loved tending to her garden; growing vegetables on occasion, but especially delighting in her flowers. Cooking was another passion, and she was famous within her family for her “mystery dishes,” playful culinary creations featuring a secret ingredient that relatives would try to guess at gatherings. She cherished traveling with her loved ones, whether embarking on trips up north, exploring St. Louis, or enjoying treasured visits to Disney World with her children over the years.

Patricia is survived by her children, Ted (Rena Weng) Nagy and Karyn (David) Grey, who carry forward her warmth, humor, and love of family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, George.

Patricia will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her creativity, and the love she poured into her family. Her memory will continue to bloom in the gardens she tended and the hearts of those who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, December 12, 2025, at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Patricia’s family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, from 3:30 pm until 8:00 pm, and again at Church on Friday from 10:30 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am. A private burial will take place at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
