Penny J. Galbraith

Penny was preceded in death by her father, Stanton R. Trucker and her mother, Florice (Otto) Trucker and her brother, Stanton Trucker

Penny is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Galbraith, daughter, Christy Lynn (Galbraith) Rowe, grandson, Ty Robert Rowe, sister, Diane (Trucker) Parenteau and her husband, Joseph Parenteau, brother, Edward Trucker and his wife, Marilyn Trucker as well as several nieces and nephews

Penny was born on January 22, 1942 in Racine, Wisconsin, the first of four children. She graduated from Park High School in 1960. Penny then worked as a private secretary to a Vice President at Johnson’s Wax headquarters in Racine, Wisconsin.

On August 12, 1967, she married the love of her life, Tom Galbraith in Waukegan, Illinois. In 1976, he was promoted and they moved to Livonia, Michigan.

Penny was always the ultimate feminine lady. She always only wore skirts and dresses every single day. She loved tending to her garden, all animals, golfing, watching her grandson, Ty play baseball. Most of all, Penny enjoyed trips to Florida and back to Wisconsin to visit and be with our families.

Our family wishes to thank Penny’s caregivers for their loving and compassionate care, especially Kim & James Bishop (from Kim’s Comforts of Home), Jodi, Angel, and several others. A heartfelt thanks again to each of you!

A visitation for Penny will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A funeral in state will occur Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 10:30 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Northville Christian Assembly located at 41355 Six Mile Road, Northville, Mi. The burial will take place at Parkview Memorial Cemetery located at 32405 Five Mile Road, Livonia, MI.

A luncheon will follow at 2pm at Mama Mia’s Italian Restaurant located at 27770 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI. Please RSVP for the luncheon if you are planning on attending.
