Rob will always live on with the presence of his parents, family and friends. We don't get to see his Dad, John much, but when we do, one knows exactly where Rob developed his kind, loving manner.

We read of Rob's passing through his obituary in the Livonia Observer.  We shocked and saddend to learn of his passing.  For the past several years, we had been customers of Rob on his Observer route and would wave and occasionally chat with him. He was always friendly and pleasant.  He will be missed. I am so very sorry for your loss. Robert was a kind man, and was so full of joy and happiness that followed him wherever he would go. Although I did not have the opportunity of getting to know him as well as most, he sure was able to put a smile on my face as he did many others. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. When thinking of Rob one can't help but smile. His laughter and bright smile would fill the room but most importantly the hearts of those around him. Rob, growing up with you was never boring. If you weren't busy making up some new game for us to play, you were figuring out a new way to give our parent's grey hair. I still tell the story of when you found out how to you the shop-vac to launch cereal out of our bedroom window. When we were young you were my hero and I can do nothing but thank you for helping me become the man I am today. Thankfully, I have a wealth of good memories because you became such a part of me that I can't ever forget you.

I am easily old enough to be Rob's father, yet I felt that he was a peer.  He was friendly and easy going across all age groups of people.  I knew him through bridge like so many others here, and he will be sorely missed in that world.

Rob will alway be my "first" cousin that I had the wonderful opportunity to grow up with.  I remember so many memories being with him at the family camp on Lake Superior.  Even though I didn't have many chances of late to see him, he will be missed.  He was a great son, brother, and friend to many.  My condolences to everyone that had the fortunate chance to know Rob.

Robbie's abilities as a potential tournament director were probably formed in a small two room cottage on Lake Superior. In this case the game was Uno but it was probably Rob that kept the game between his sister, brothers, and cousins from getting completely out of control. He was always the patient voice that kept the peace.   It will never be the same.

Rob, you were sunshine and serenity every time you came in our door.  That was year ago, of course, when you were a teen.   But you still shine as one of the bright spots of being in Livonia.  You always had a warm word for anyone of any age.  Your smile lives on in our hearts.

He made our bridge tournaments so fun and so fair!  The meaning of this seems so senseless, the only thought that can be made of this, is that only the good die young, the rest of us must have lessons to learn.

TDRob, aka TDHunka, was truly a "world class" person, a great Tourney Director for Total Points Bridge Club as well as ACBL.  He was my friend and I will miss him very much.

Rob was one of those people who just made you feel cared about no matter what.  I did not know him but for a couple of short years online playing and being co-Tourney Directors in Total Points Club.  He always had a kind word for all and made everyone comfortable.  I, along with everyone else will miss you Rob, you were cared and loved in return.  Thank you for all of you that you gave us.

I will miss Rob so much. We directed tournaments together on Monday nights. We played the lotto together and always talked about how we would spend the money...lol.  Rob and my son were Eagle Scouts and I feel like I have lost a son. I loved him dearly and I will continue to run his tournament on Monday nights but only in my AD name. God bless his family as I know you and all of us will miss him forever.

He was a great guy to play against!   He was a good player, but more importantly, he was a good guy.   Always was welcoming, always with a ready quip.    We will miss him.

Sitting at Buddy's sharing a pizza and salad and relaxing between sessions of bridge. Reading Rob's facebook entries with a smile on my face as he made gentle fun of himself and the world around him.  Starting many conversations with.... what would you do with K third, AQ fourth, etc.

We at SOMBA enjoyed promoting you as an up and coming Asst. Tournament Director. I was looking for you Friday in Troy to break the news that you were going be the Director in Charge for Spooktacular.Sectional. ACBL had just approved for us to have a Local Director of our choosing.

On a personal note, you were joy to be around with all the clowning that went on between the two of us on our table or away from the table. 

I already miss you Rob as do many of our SOMBA Board members.
