Robert H. Travis passed away January 28, 2014 in Ann Arbor. He was 90 years old. Robert was born November 26, 1923 to Arthur and Emmeline Travis in West Haven, Connecticut. He married Constance Melville and spent 44 beautiful years together before her passing in 1999. Robert served in the Army and was a proud World War II Veteran. Robert is survived by his children Jamie (Frank) Jeremy and Chris (Kathy). His grandchildren Kelly (Dave) Klein, Cody Travis, and Mackenzie Travis, his nieces Francis (Lou) Vacca and Virginia T. Lavin and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Constance, his siblings Frank D. Travis, Leantine Wall, and William C. Travis.
A funeral service will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11am at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia. Visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2014 from 3 to 8pm and Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 10am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Michigan Paralyzed Veterans,477 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI 48226, and Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Rd., Livonia, MI 48154.
