Rudy was the beloved husband of Mary, with whom he shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life centered around family, faith, and love.
He was a devoted father to Laura (Jim) and Diane (late Mark), and a proud grandfather to Kathryn (Curt), Lisa (Collin), Tyler, AJ, and Lauren. Adoring great-grandfather to Avery, Nolan, and Maura. He is also survived by his sister Helen (late Tom).
He will be welcomed into Heaven by his late parents, Rudy and Mildred, son-in-law Mark , along with his loving siblings Bob (Pat), Mary Ann (Bob) , and Irene (Dan).
Rudy proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long career at Ford Motor Company, followed by an even longer retirement. He found great joy in traveling, golfing, watching westerns, and spending time with his family. He especially loved time at his chalet in Fremont, Michigan, where he enjoyed fishing, hiking, and playing cards. He also loved listening to polka and country music.
Rudy took great pride in putting both of his daughters through the University of Michigan College, a reflection of his dedication to family and their futures. GO BLUE!
Rudy had a great sense of humor and was a natural jokester. His laughter could fill a room, and he created lasting memories for all who knew and loved him.
He will be remembered as a devoted family man and committed Catholic. Even in the toughest situations, he would pray and work hard to make things right. He led by example, but had fun doing it.
