I was shocked when I was told yesterday of Steph’s passing. I’m so sorry. Steph and I hadn’t talked in quite some time. But reconnected after my Father, Rowden, passed away early this year. She was a huge part of my life for many, many years. So many good memories. May yours give you strength.

Stephane had such a large impact on my life. My first job was with her at her tanning salon in Boyne. Followed by my second job at her consignment store. Next my third job was at her and her brothers Greek restaurant. She helped me so much in my teen years. Was a second mother to me. I will never forget how much love she projected onto others. 

So many great memories but one in particular is sticking out. At her Greek restaurant I was serving saginaki to a table, I dumped a full shot of Sambuca on the cheese before lighting it. The flames were so big they burned my eyebrows and the hair on my head. Stephane laughed.

As a teen we make dumb decisions. Mine was to collect speeding tickets until finally I lost my license. Stephane wasn’t happy. So she took action. Going to see the judge with me to help convince them to give me my license back. I learned my lesson and haven’t got another speeding ticket since.

She treated me like I was her own child. And I loved her back just the same. I know I’m not the only one who felt that way.

She will be missed. I am sorry to the family. Nick and Dino. You are all in my thoughts. The room was always brighter with her in it.

Some of my fondest childhood memories involve family get togethers (always Christmas Eve!) with Stephane and her family at her Aunt, my Godmother, Connie Nicholas' house, or at Shirley and Pete's. Not a holiday went by that I didn't see Stephane. I will never forget her vivacious energy, the way you KNEW she was there when she walked in the room. She had an infectious laugh, and a genuine kindness about her. Rest in Peace, Stephane. I know that if my parents were still around today they would share in the sadness, and well-wishes for the family.  Stephane was very special to my mother, as are all the Peponis Children. 

I may have been the last person to have met this wonderful angel. There was times that she would just make you smile just by watching her smile and giggle. This lady left such an impression on me. I believe her work ethic's made me works so much harder. I have always teased her about her height. Lord knows. I only did that because her work ethic was larger than life. Her loving attitude was bigger than anyone I have ever met. I hope and pray that you fully understand extent of how you made me feel in a short period of time that I met you.  Rest in peace, little angel. P.s, you won't need a step stool in heaven you now sit taller then everyone it's the world time to look up to you!! 

Breaks our hearts at Bacco and PERNOI we all loved Stephanie not only was she delight and helpful but a diligent professional that cared for guest and coworkers alike! She made my coming on board with Bacco welcomed! Lol she said I was a change of fresh air and was always in my corner helping me navigate its unique services ! Always missed and love Rip Stephanie my favorite was her and Albert our executive expo bickering like an old married couple! “That damn Albert “ as she hobbled into our kitchen on her bad foot! Going to miss her hugs most! See on the flip side baby!

I'm so sorry,  I remember Stephanie as a hard worker , funny always full of joy, oh and she can be tough on you too,I had the pleasure of working with her for 2 years at Bigalora and she used to always tell me Daryl I'm going to wash your mouth out with soap, if you don't stop cursing all the time,  and I would laugh , but all in all she was a good friend .Rest well
