

Thomas R Korn, age 78, of Livonia, Michigan passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was born October 22, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to James E. and Eileen E. Korn, the middle child of their three children. Following high school Tom enlisted in the U.S. Army where he honorably served our country. Tom began his 43-year career with General Motors in January 1965. He retired in 2007. Following retirement Tom enjoyed his time with his family, particularly his grandchildren, where he earned his name: "Tuppa". He enjoyed his quiet time reading, watching movies, sports and NASCAR races. He took pride in his yard and liked to work around the house.
Tom is survived by his wife of 24 years, Helen; children, Steven Korn, Jeffrey Korn, Pamela (Gary) Stehr and Karen (Mike) Eversole; grandchildren, Cade Eversole, Nathan Eversole, McKenna Stehr, Garrison Stehr, Ella Eversole, Jackson Eversole, and Beau Eversole. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his brother, James Korn and sister, Peggy Korn.
A visitation for friends and family will be Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 PM. Thomas will be laid to rest in Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI.
