

Mr. Thomas Sokol was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 29, 1949 to his parents Chester and Regina Sokol. He attended St. Lawrence Grade School and Chadsey High School. He entered the U.S. Navy after high school and was Honorably Discharged. He pursued a career as a master carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of Christine, who he had known since childhood, his daughter Laura as well as his sisters Theresa and Ann Sokol. He is also the uncle to Stephen Chester (Amy) Sokol and the great uncle to Stephen John Sokol and Jenna Victoria Sokol.
Tom was a hard working man and enjoyed creating custom wood work and renovations. He was proud of his service to his country and enjoyed history. More than anything, he cherished the time spent with his family and the comforts of home.
Friends may visit Tom’s family during a visitation in his honor on Tuesday May 15, 2012 from 4-9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile in Livonia, Michigan 48152. During the visitation, a service will be prayed in his memory at 6:30 pm by Fr. Suresh Rajaian and his U.S. Navy Military Funeral Honors Service will be at 7 pm.
