

Virginia Anita Newman, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the age of 77. She was born in Weeksbury, Kentucky and had resided in Kingsport for the past 16 years, having resided for many years in Livonia, Michigan where she raised her children. Anita was a volunteer at The American Red Cross.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Randall Newman; second husband, Frank Cecil; father, Clyde Clark; grandson, Randall “Randy” Willis; sister, Emma Lou Beckowitz; and brother, Valis Clark.
Anita is survived by four daughters, Paula (Richard) Nance, April (Gary) Varcoe, Barda Newman, Randa Newman Murray (Marc Murray); nine grandchildren, Brooke Willis, Kyle and Larry Rak, Jacob Newman, Steven and Heather Varcoe, Ethan, Marc and Madison Murray; mother, Cotella Clark; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Tristan and Annabella Willis; four sisters, Kathy (Mike) Cowles, Faye (Glen) Gardner, Jean (Wayne) DeMoss, and Donna Colleen (Bob) Garland; brother, Michael (Trish) Clark; several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 4-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Mrs. Newman will be taken to Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan for a visitation on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 2-9pm.
The Funeral Service, led by Rev. Glen Hayes, will be at Harry J. Will Funeral Home on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00am.
Anita will be laid to rest in Parkview Cemetery, Livonia, Michigan.
