With deep love and sorrow, the family of Caterina Fata announces her peaceful passing on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the remarkable age of 100, with her children by her side. Caterina was born in Italy, where her life’s journey began with strength, devotion, and a deep commitment to family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Eugenio Fata (2003), and her beloved son, Gino Fata (2023).
Caterina was a loving mother to her children, Rosa (the late Fortunato), Nella (Gary), Ida (Gabriele), Frank (Cindy), and Enza. She was a grandmother, a great-grandmother and a great-great-grandmother to many grandchildren, a total of 25 children.
Funeral services will be held at Needham Funeral Service, 520 Dundas St, London, ON. Beginning with an evening of visitation on Thursday, August 21st, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Another visitation will start at 11 AM on Friday, August 22nd, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM. A private entombment will take place following the service at St. Peter's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in Caterina’s memory.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all her family and all the people who've known her in her amazing 100 years of life.
