Passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2017 at the age of 31 years. Sadly missed by his loving mother Beryl Baylis of London, Ontario, uncle Bob Baylis and cousins Tammy and Jimmy Baylis of Vancouver, BC, along with many cousins, friends and associates. Predeceased by devoted grandparents Jim and Beryl Baylis of London and great aunts Betty Allen, Dorothy Jones and Gladys Oakey of Gloucester, England. Dan lived his entire life in London, except for two years in Waterloo as the “preacher’s kid” at the Unitarian Fellowship there. He will be remembered as an energetic, outspoken young man with a passion for social justice. He trained in broadcasting and journalism at Montcalm Secondary School and Fanshawe College, and was a highly recognizable face with Occupy London. Danny’s sense of humour, with his love of his own terrible puns, brought laughter to many. His boyish pleasures were such as fixing up computers, playing video games, and collecting Star Trek and Transformers memorabilia. His definition of happiness would have been driving his own pickup truck with a trailer on the back so he could help his friends and those in need to move, and to enable him to pick up those treasures left at curbsides. All are invited to a gathering on Wednesday, October 18th from 3:00-5:00 pm at Needham’s Funeral Service, 520 Dundas Street, near William. Cremation has taken place and the ashes will be scattered in a beautiful place at a later date. Friends and relatives are invited to sign Danny’s online book of condolences at: www.needhamfuneralhome.com
