Following an unexpected medical event, we are devastated to announce the passing of Dean Barber (Fort Nelson, BC), formerly of London, ON, at Vancouver Hospital on Thursday, January 9th, 2020 in his 53rd year. Dean was an especially wonderful and caring man and he was extremely passionate for the outdoors, wildlife, photography and doing whatever he could for those in need. He was a compassionate son, brother, uncle and friend. Dean will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Elva (Peggy) Johnson and Cyril Barber and his brother, Jeff and sister Leeann Barber of London, ON and baby sister, Allison (Kent) Styles of Regina, SK. He will be sadly missed by 6 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17 from 6-9 pm at Needham Funeral Home (520 Dundas Street, London). The complete funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 1pm in the Church of the Ascension (2060 Dundas St East, London) with a private interment at a later date. The family would like to thank Vancouver Hospital ICU and the amazing Doctors and nurses who were so supportive and caring and especially the transplant team as Dean graciously donated his organs. In lieu of flowers donations to OWL ( Orphaned Wildlife ) Rehabilitation Society in Delta BC would be appreciated as Dean was a volunteer for sick and injured animals that were found with hope to have them returned and released back into the wild.
