Evelyn is lovingly reunited with her beloved husband, George (2014), parents Earl and Ruth, along with her siblings and family who have gone before her. She leaves behind her cherished children, Robert (Cathy) Mason, Lisa Mason, and Lori (Gary) Kendrick. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Kayla (Matthew) Mellies, Amy Kloos, Katie Brogee, and Erin Kloos, and a doting great-grandmother to Logan Léger, Trent Léger, and Addison Mellies. Evelyn will also be deeply missed by her dear brother Howard (Rita) Patterson, along with many other extended family and friends whose lives she touched.
Family was the center of Evelyn’s world, and she poured her love into every role she held—wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her resilience, strength, kindness, and her ever-present smile. Evelyn found joy in the simple things—baking, gardening, dancing, and sewing clothes for her children. After her stroke, she faced life’s challenges with courage and positivity, embracing new hobbies like rug hooking and delighting in country music, often tapping and swaying along with a smile. Evelyn also held a special love for dogs, who brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Evelyn’s warmth, laughter, and devotion to her family will be forever treasured.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to Needham Funeral Service, 520 Dundas Street, London, on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, for a Memorial Service at 2 pm. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior at 1 pm.
