On Thursday June 4, surrounded by family at home, Jack Winkler left this earth to join his wife Yvonne. Jack was born in Hearst, Ontario in 1929 and later resided in Stratford for 20 years before moving to London. He was a quiet gentlemen whose dry sense of humor could always make you laugh.
Father to Jack Jr (Pam), Brenda (Dave), Dennis (Ann), Cathy (John).
He was a grandfather to 10 grandchildren and great grandfather to 15. Survived by his sister Val and brother Fred (Mary Lou). Predeceased by sister Joan and brother Jim.
Jack was a first class stationary engineer and over the years worked at various area hospitals and businesses until he retired at 80 years old. Over the years he proudly accumulated numerous other trade certifications. Special thanks to the numerous PSW’s, Dr. Kanwar’s palliative care team and the home nurses, especially Nancy for her strong support.
Due to COVID a private family graveside service will be held, with a celebration of life being held when conditions change.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted to Community Living London or Ontario Special Olympics London.
