When Barb and I became friends 50 years ago, Joan and Ralph welcomed me into the family.
Joan gave me a job one summer painting the exterior of the family home and on occasion would invite me in for lunch to sit at the large kitchen table.
I always enjoyed Joan's quick wit and no nonsense advise.
She was like no other.
Sending my sympathies in your time of sorrow.

Our sincere condolences to your family on the death of your mother Joan. She and Hank were friends and neighbours of our family for so many good years. May you find comfort knowing your mother made a difference to others. She walked with our mom, Ruth. She played Bridge with our dad Erwin.
She will be remembered fondly.
Our thoughts are with you as you share your memories and good times together.

But Love leaves a memory no one can steal “ Irish Headstone
With sympathy,

You were a grandma unlike many others - and I'm thankful everyday for that. Thanks to you, have a love of travel, make a mean salad, fiercely love my independence and have a lead foot! Will miss you, and think of you often in all the ways you've impacted me. xoxoxo
