VEILLEUX-TROMMELEN, JOHANNA PETRONELLA WILLHELMINA passed suddenly at the age of 74 at Victoria Hospital in London Ontario on Saturday, October 27th. She has joined her loving husband pre-deceased, Joseph Isidore Marius (Jim) Veilleux. Johanna will be remembered along with her sister pre-deceased, Corrie (Bill) Nelson and is survived by her brother John (Lynda)Trommelen and sisters Henrietta (Paul) Farr and Jane (Brian) Miller. Caring mother to Mike (Monica), Marc (Andrea), Micki (William) Izzard, James and Anthony (Krista) and loving Oma to her grandchildren and great grandsons. Johanna immigrated from Holland with her family, landing in Halifax in 1953. After partnering with Jim, they moved from place to place to place in Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba, growing a family together as he was transferred about while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. Johanna will be remembered for her passionate involvement over many years in the Girl Guide movement and will be missed by numerous friends in that community. Not content to semi-retire from guiding, she continued giving of herself, delivering readings during masses as well as other volunteering at St. Justin’s Parish in London. Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 5th from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at NEEDHAM FUNERAL HOME, 520 Dundas St., London, ON N6B 1W6 (519-434-9141). Memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Johanna directed to Girl Guides of Canada would be appreciated.

On behalf of the Creative Stamping and Design Club, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Johanna's family and friends. May you find some comfort in knowing she was a friend to many. Club nights will be a little quieter without her laughter and sadder with an empty chair at her table.

To Johanna's Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of Johanna.
We both belonged to the same stamp club in London and every month on the second Wednesday she would
bounce in to the church with the biggest smile on her face.
I will miss that.
Hold your memories of her close to your heart where she will always remain and remember
that LOVE never dies.
May she rest in peace.

Johanna will be missed. She inspired me to share my knowledge and have fun with the Guiding units I was working with. My thoughts and prayers are with her family through this time of sorrow. Words can never describe what we feel during a time like this. She will remain alive in our hearts forever and through us, she will live on. Reminding us to challenge ourselves each and everyday.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences, words cannot begin to express the sadness your family is feeling right now,

I wish I could have attend in person, but I do hope my words have expressed some comfort that your family is never alone... Many friends (Guiding & other) will always be here for you.

Johanna was the true essence of a Girl Guide member. She always had a kind word to share, knowledge to share and a smile on her face. Johanna was one of those people who always volunteered to lend a helping hand, was a mentor to so many of us. I enjoyed our many chats Johanna and I had, she will be deeply missed. Go well and safely my dear friend.
