Joseph Kovacs

JOSEPH KOVACS 1924 – 2021 In his 97th year Joseph peacefully passed away with his family at his side, his best friend and loving wife Olga of 68 years, Son Richard, Daughters Madeline and Mary Ann (Paul predeceased)Mills. Joseph was born in Abod and grew up in Szendro, Hungary. He came to Canada in 1949 where he later met his wife Olga (Kovacs). Joseph retired from John Labatt Limited. Survived by his sister Mary Gecso in Szendro, Hungary, Niece Eva (John) Lange in New Jersey and great nephews Steven and Thomas. Survived by Brother in Law Tim (Margaret) Kovacs, nephews Patrick, Martin (Donna) and great nephews Ben and Charlie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Hungary and Canada. Special Thanks to Dr. Daniel Pepe and his staff, Dr. Cathy Faulds and Rebecca at Paramedic The funeral will be held at St John the Divine Parish at 10 am Thursday April 8th (by appointment). Service will also be live streamed at (https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/27355). Interment to be at a later date. In lieu of Flowers, Donation to the St John the Divine Building Foundation or a Charity of your choice. Tributes may be made at www.needhamfuneralhome.com

Dear Olga, Rick, Madeline and Mary Ann,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss of your hubby and dad. You are a wonderful family and will have so many great memories to support you as you grieve his loss. Joe loved being outside working on his flower beds and especially getting his grass just the way he liked it. He was so fortunate to have Olga at his side to see that his needs were being met, especially this last while. May all of you draw strength from family, friends and faith to support you. Cherish your memories as you walk this path.
