Peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home on April 29, 2018, Kenneth Wootton Kenney of London in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Laurel Kenney (Howe). Loving father of Roger Kenney (Celeste) and Gregg Kenney (Cynthia). He will be missed by his grandchildren Tanner and Dylan, Matthew, Marc. He was predeceased by his sister Eleanor Kenney (2017) Ken started his teaching career in the Village of Poole, Perth County from there he moved on to teach in Paris then to James Hillier Public School in Brantford. After a stint there he was appointed a Master at Toronto Teachers College then back to Waterloo Department of Education as an Inspector and New Math Specialist. He co-authored the New Math text book that was published by Nelson. He ended his career as a Professor of Elementary Option and Assistant Dean at Althouse College. Ken was a past Elder at First-St. Andrew’s United Church and Sunday School Superintendent and trained Sunday School teachers. A Memorial Service will be held at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas St, London) on Friday May 4, 2018 at Noon with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
