Very sorry for your loss. I was an Assistant Administration Officer in Cambridge in 1975. I remember the air conditioning failing in the office and it must have been close to 30 C in that office. All the girls were in mini skirts at that time, but the guys had to wear suits. Leo said: " If I can wear my jacket then so can you!" So we did.

A very fair manager and well respected across Southern Ontario as an excellent "credit" man. I enjoyed my stay in Cambridge. I met my wife while working at that office and quit smoking as well. Some very important milestones.

I see Tim is in Barrie. I think he was just starting as a trainee when I was in Cambridge.

Diane and I extend our condolences to the entire Callaghan clan.

Leo and I worked together in London, Ontario when the Ontario South West Region was established in 1976. He led our Marketing Department with enthusiasm and his infectious personality enabled him to quickly develop strong relations with our customers and our personnel. He was so well liked and regarded throughout the Region. Our personal relationship evolved to include our families and over the years we spent many enjoyable times together and have so many happy memories to reflect upon and remember.

Leo and Cathy were such giving people with the strongest of family ties. We will remember Leo with smiles and happiness and offer our prayers and condolences to Cathy and the family during this difficult time.

With warmest thoughts,
Don and Shirley Stephenson and family

Leo Callaghan was a wonderful man. He was my first manager at CIBC, Main and Water, Cambridge in the 70's He was kind, caring, loved his family and he had a great sense of humour. I clearly remember him with coffee in hand saying good morning to each staff member. My heartfelt sympathies to the Callaghan family. Remembering you with fondness Leo. May you rest in peace.
I too have a copy of the CIBC flood picture, good memories of the fun years at Main and Water

To Cathy and family,

I offer my condolences to you and your family.
The loss of my oldest and closest friend, leaves me deeply saddened.
For some 60 years we have shared laughter and tears.
Cathy you and Leo were there for me, when my world came crashing down, now I find myself at a loss for words, as I say farewell to my friend Leo and pray that God will hold him in the palm of his hand.

Uncle Leo was often in my thoughts. A fond memory I have of him was when he said he wanted to soar like an eagle before a skyjumping experience near Simcoe. He called me at work to say "The eagle has landed". I admired how he valued family and friends and going to the cottage to spend some time with people he loved. Loving memories.
