

KELLY; Marjorie “Bobby” – On December 31, 2016 after a long year of illness, Marjorie is now resting peacefully. A gathering will be held on Sunday January 15th, 2017 from 1 - 4pm at Needham Funeral Service, 520 Dundas Street. In the spring, Marjorie, along with her son Rod will be laid to rest beside her husband and son in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in a private family committal service.
Born Marjorie Morgan on June 29, 1933 to the late Abe and Molly Morgan of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. Over the years Marjorie worked at Victoria Hospital in the Housekeeping Department but, took great pride in being an outstanding homemaker and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The Matriarch of the family she was referred to as “The Queen” and often affectionately called “The Mother of ALL Kellys”. Marj’s passions were many and revolved around her love of family with her knitting, baking and sharing a cuppa tea. Her enjoyment in her puzzles whether it be a word search, crossword or even a jigsaw puzzle were also favourite past times. She had a typical Cape Breton Islander sense of humour leaving the house filled with love and laughter as she cheered on her Toronto Blue Jays. Marj was a dedicated and loving wife to a career military man, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents Marjorie is predeceased by her husband D.A. (Rick) Kelly; sons Rod and Gary Kelly; her sister Marie Boultier and her brothers Sonny Morgan and Paul Martell. Those left to cherish her memory are Marjorie’s daughter Deb (Bob) McNorgan, her sons Pat Kelly and Gord (Melisa) Kelly; her brothers Buddy (Betty) Morgan, Eddie (Debbie) Martell, Freddie (Colleen) Martell and sisters Joan Burton, Paddy Martell and Donna Martell and also sisters-in-law Margie McKinnon and Carmella Morgan; her grandchildren Mike (Jen) McNorgan, Jeff (Rebekah) McNorgan, Jenn (Mike) Almond, Ryan Kelly, Danielle Kelly, Jordan Kelly and Michael Kelly; and great grandchildren Brittany McNorgan, Abbey McNorgan, Lily Almond, Jackson McNorgan, Haylee Almond, Clare McNorgan, Benjamin McNorgan and Maya McNorgan; and numerous nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Special thanks to Patti Bedecki as well as the special Doctors and Nurses of the Parkwood Palliative Care Unit for their unwavering kindness and care of Marjorie and to her dear friends Ruth, Kay and Bob, Rose, Carla and Elwin.
