Dr. Robert Alfred Brandon

Dr. Robert Alfred Brandon, July 12, 2001 at London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus, in his 58th year. Bob left this world peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn are his wife Lynne, daughters Hilary, Susan and Bryan Pratt and his grandson Bryce James Pratt. Bob is also survived by his mother Doreen Brandon, and in Thunder Bay by his mother-in-law Margaret Donaldson, brother-in-law and classmate, Dr. Jim Donaldson and Ann, sister-in-law Lois Kennelly and Pat, nieces Shannon Viau, Meghan and Melissa Donaldson and nephew Timothy Donaldson. Bob was predeceased by his father Grant Brandon (1982) and his father-in-law James Donaldson (1982).

Bob was well known in organized dentistry throughout Canada and was the recipient of many awards including UWO’s School of Dentistry Alumni Award of Distinction (2000), the Governor General of Canada Volunteerism Award, and the Ontario Dental Association’s Service Award (1987). He was the current Vice-President of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and represented the dentists of District 6. Bob was both a dentistry graduate and a faculty member at the University of Western Ontario.

Visitation in the Lloyd R. Needham Funeral Chapel, 520 Dundas Street, London, ON Friday July 20th from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Lynne, Hilary and Susan would like family, friends and colleagues to join them in a celebration of Bob’s life on Sunday July 22nd, commencing at 2 p.m. with a reception following until 6 p.m. at the Great Hall, Somerville House, University of Western Ontario. (Western Road entrance, parking in the Weldon lot).
