I had the honour working with Walter at Loblaw for the past 5 years.I would see him every day and he would say "Hi Papa" I would reply with "Hey Grand dad!"and we would joke around and chat about the weather. 
I will miss the small conversations that we had.He had that Million Dollar smile. The store is not the same now that he is gone.  I know that heaven is a better place now that he is there. 
We will meet up again someday.

As a cutomer at Loblaw with 3 small children and big orders of groceries Walter helped us carry out and load up our groceries each week for the past number of years. Walter always greeted us with a smile and was happy to help us out. Even my 2 year old knew him by name. His absence is obvious and we miss seeing him.

I have worked with so many people in my life with school and work and nobody was as original Walter. Everyday I work with him, he was in a very good mood and I always come up to him and say "hi bubbles" and he would repeat it and would use his million dollar chuckle. Working with Walter was an amazing experience because if he's working then it's a good shift and I was very devastated to hear that an all star passed away. stay strong to all the members of the Chisholm family

Walter was my first customer every day that he worked. Every morning started with a huge smile, a "Mornin beautiful", and then he would give me a news and weather update. Last thing he said every time was "don't work to hard"with a big smile. Walter was the kindest,hardest working gentleman I've ever met, and our store will never be the same without him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends

To Walter's family
I would like to offer my condolences to your family. 
Walter was a bright light every morning that I worked with him. He would greet me with a "Hi Sugar" and proceed to tell me how the weather would be that day. His kindness and sweet smile is missed by many at Loblaws.

As an employee at Loblaw Great Food I am so sad to not have Walter's smiling face beaming about the store. He was a kind gentle soul and always had a kind word, a smile and a little something funny to say to make your day brighter. We should all be more like Walter. It just isn't the same at work without him and I really miss him. God bless you Walter and rest in peace. Blessings go out to the family at  this very sad time. May God bless you all.

I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Walter at Loblaws for the past 6 + years. He was always cheerful, helpful, and always had an upbeat comment and a chuckle to share. His work ethic was to be admired, and I believe he set a very good example for us all. He is a valued part of the Loblaws family, and is missed so much.

To Walter's Family,
     I am a regular customer at the Wonderland and Southdale Loblaw's.  Since I have a bad back, I have needed help in taking my groceries from the store to load into the trunk of my car.  Walter has helped me numerous times.  Whenever, I saw him in the store or in the parking lot, he always greeted me with a smile and some friendly remark.  I never saw him angry, sad or impatient.  I never saw him idle or loafing about.  He was always busy with some task.  I miss his helpful service with a smile.  Something seems to be missing ... now when I enter the store.  You have my deepest sympathy at your time of grief.  You should know that I am grieving also at his passing.
