Chip passed away peacefully at University Hospital in London, Ontario on Thursday October 11, 2018 at the age of 93. Chip was born in Woodstock, Ontario on April 21, 1925; the son of Mary (nee Ward) and Reginald Chipperfield.
Predeceased by his father (1947), mother (1990), and brother Jack (2001). Survived by Joyce Rosa Chipperfield. Brothers-in-law Paul Halliday and wife Cory of Sarnia and Hank Halliday and wife Valerie of Ailsa Craig.
Chip obtained the rank of Pilot Officer in the R.C.A F., was a staff member of the London "Y" for 28 years, worked at Guildwood Lighting for 5 years and at Young's Jewellers for 10 years. He was a lifetime member of the London Y, the London Canoe Club and the Huff 'n' Puff Seniors Fitness Association. During his tenure at the Y, Chip was instrumental in developing Camp Queen Elizabeth.

A Celebration of Life event for Chip will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Centre Branch YMCA on Waterloo St. in London from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Chip can be made to the Y, please see link below.
