He was the fourth of five boys in the family. He moved to California at the age of 13, and lived in the Bellflower area the rest of his life. Donald worked as a construction laborer for 40 years and retired at the age of 55. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping and Nascar racing. Donald met JoAnn in 1955 in Bellflower and they were married the following April.
JoAnn was by his side, loving and caring for him, even at the end. Survived by his wife of 57 years, JoAnn; five children and eight grandchildren and one remaining brother, Dennis.
